Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership



Bellwether Class

Bellwether League Foundation’s Board of Directors selects what it determines as industry innovators, pioneers and visionaries for their career-long achievements and contributions in the delivery of high-quality healthcare through effective and efficient supply chain operations and practices. They represent creative thinkers who take the initiative, expand the boundaries of what’s possible, and perform in a way that improves and promotes the profession of supply chain management among hospitals, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), manufacturers and distributors, consulting firms, educational institutions and media properties.

 

Requirements

Using its best efforts, the Board evaluates candidates from a pool of submitted nominations that provide detailed information about their achievements, accomplishments, contributions, ethics and integrity, leadership, mentoring, practices and philosophy, all of which advances and influences their organizations at large and profession as a whole. The Board researches candidates’ work experience, work performance and their professional and voluntary activities. Candidates typically represent active, retired and deceased professionals with at least 25 years of exemplary service and leadership performance in supply chain operations as determined by the Board.

Future Famers Class

Bellwether League Foundation’s Board of Directors selects what it determines as rising stars for their contributions to healthcare supply chain operational excellence during the first decade of their career and employment.

 

Requirements

Using similar best efforts, the Board evaluates candidates from a pool of submitted nominations that provide detailed information about a specific project or process or several projects or processes they created and managed to benefit the organization as a whole and the patients it serves. They represent active professionals who do not yet qualify for Bellwether consideration, but have contributed to the supply chain profession in a meaningful way and make a difference through innovative achievements, leadership potential and pioneering work.

Future Famer candidates represent industry leaders in development. Their recognition is designed to encourage ongoing innovation and progress as they may seek Bellwether status later in their careers, building on the various projects they implement to advance the healthcare supply chain and healthcare industry as a whole.

Ammer Class

Bellwether League Foundation’s Board of Directors selects what it determines as influential and innovative executives and professionals in the middle of their careers for their contributions to healthcare supply chain performance improvement and excellence.

 

Requirements

Using similar best efforts to the Bellwether and Future Famer awards, the Board evaluates candidates from a pool of submitted nominations that provide detailed information about their achievements, accomplishments, contributions, ethics and integrity, leadership, mentoring, practices and philosophy, all of which advances and influences their organizations at large, the patients they serve and the profession as a whole. The Board researches candidates’ work experience, work performance and their professional and voluntary activities. Candidates typically represent active professionals more than 10 to 25 years of exemplary service and leadership performance in supply chain operations as determined by the Board.
