Bellwether League, Inc.Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership rebrands as it preps for its second decade of service

SCHAUMBURG, IL (September 23, 2016) – On the eve of its 10th anniversary and in advance of its 9th Annual Bellwether Industry Dinner event next week, Bellwether League Inc., the Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership, announces a rebranding to pave the way for its second decade of service.

Bellwether League (as it commonly will be promoted in the marketplace) quietly launched its new brand identity and redesigned web site in late August with an official announcement closer to its 9th Annual Bellwether Induction Dinner Event, which takes place on Monday, October 3, at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, Rosemont, IL, adjacent to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

Bellwether League’s new icon/logo and web site is classic but fresh, simple yet sophisticated, representing the organization’s mission and vision since inception in July 2007, according to Rick Dana Barlow, Co-Founder and Executive Director. “We’re still shining a light on supply chain excellence by honoring past and present healthcare supply chain innovators, leaders and pioneers to influence future luminaries.

“We wanted to make the web site more convenient for visitors, too,” Barlow continued, “by adding more information with improved functionality and vibrant visual elements that is easily accessible and navigable within one or two clicks on any electronic device – desktop, laptop, notebook/pad and smartphone.”

Bellwether League Chairman John Gaida expressed his enthusiasm and support for the new visual direction.

“As Bellwether League nears its 9th anniversary celebration, our organization continues to evolve,” he said.  “Our rebranding effort and new web site reinforces this Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership as the industry’s beacon of light shining the way for supply chain excellence. We hope our updated look highlights not only our pursuit of continuous improvement but also those professionals we recognize as Bellwethers.”

At its 9th Annual Bellwether Induction Dinner Event, Bellwether League’s 11-member Board of Directors will honor and recognize the 6 professionals of the Bellwether Class of 2016 – Edwin L. Crosby, M.D., Irving Mills, William E. Pauley, Carol Stone, Peggy Styer and Gary L. Wagner; 6 professionals of the Future Famers Class of 2016 – Jimmy Henderson, Nisha Lulla, Catherine Polczynski, Rob Proctor, Baljeet Sangha, and Erik Walerius; and the first organizational recipient of the “Dean S. Ammer Award for Supply Chain Excellence.”

Earlier that afternoon, Bellwether League will host its 4th Annual Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership Forum that will explore the educational/informational topic, “Six Years into the Affordable Care Act: What’s Working, What’s Not Working, Implications for the Supply Chain.”
